Pet First Aid Training Courses

Happy Tails Pet First Aid courses are available to individuals and to organised groups.

My Pet First Aid courses for individuals run regularly at Crosscannonby Community Centre in Crosby, near Maryport.

Our most popular course is Canine First Aid Level 2 (VTQ), which is suitable for pet owners as well as Groomers and Dog Walkers.

This is a regulated level 2 course which covers:

  • The role of the first aider

  • Checking health

  • Preventing accidents

  • Breathing and respiratory problems

  • Dealing with injuries

  • Common health conditions

Practical sessions are

  • finding pulse & respiration rates

  • CPR

  • choking

  • controlling bleeding/ bandaging

My maximum Pet First Aid training group size is 12 learners to allow enough time to practice new skills and receive 1-1 support. I want to ensure you have plenty of support and are confident, as well as competent, in first aid.

I can visit your venue or workplace and can tailor training for your staff/customers. I am happy to deliver to kennels, groomers, walkers, retail outlets, day care, animal charities and clubs
