The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the largest dog training programme in the UK and is open to all dogs.

 

At Happy Tails Dog Training we offer all levels of the scheme from the puppy foundation assessment right through to gold level.

 

The scheme aims to promote responsible dog ownership and in turn, enhances our relationship with our pets.

We teach the dogs to

• sit and wait

• recall

• meet other dogs and people correctly

• be social around other dogs and people

• walk nicely on a lead

• be polite around food

• come away from distractions

• settle on a bed and in the car

• send to bed

• and even an emergency stop!

 

I run our classes in a positive manner to ensure that you and your dog have fun training and learning together.

 

Following the training, you can choose to take an assessment to gain your official Kennel Club rosette and certificate.
